Terms and conditions
Introduction
- Welcome to Pet Watch! We place our Users and their furry friends at the heart of everything that we do and are committed to being transparent with you to ensure you have the best possible experience when using our Platform.
- We want all our Users to have a smooth, enjoyable experience with Pet Watch and be a part of our community. For that purpose, these Terms & Conditions set out the terms and conditions in which our services are conducted (provided and purchased) on the mobile application, Pet Watch, its related sub-domains, and sites (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Platform” or “Pet Watch”).
- Pet Watch is owned and maintained by MAM Technologies Portal Limited, a private company established pursuant to the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (“DIFC”) with DIFC license no. CL6787, having its registered office at DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (hereinafter referred to as “MAM”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
- The United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) is our country of domicile. MAM controls this Platform from the UAE. MAM makes no representation that this Platform is appropriate for use in other locations. Except where otherwise specified on this Platform, the Users who choose to access this Platform from locations outside the UAE are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws. You may not use, export or re-export any materials from this Platform in violation of any applicable laws or regulations, including, but not limited to any UAE laws and regulations.
Terms
- These Terms & Conditions set out the terms and conditions of use of the Platform for the purpose of the Pet Owners (“Owners”) to purchase Services (as defined under Clause 3.1) available on the Platform and Pet Sitters (“Sitters”) to provide Services on the Platform (the “Terms”).
- These Terms will form a legally binding agreement between you, the User, and MAM. In addition to the Terms, you are further bound by the Privacy Policy and any other policy provided on the Platform, which form an integral part of these Terms (as provided on this Platform separately). If you do not agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any other policy, immediately refrain from using this Platform.
- At Pet Watch, we value transparency with our Users, therefore please ensure to read these Terms carefully before you submit or create an Account on the Platform and initiate using the Services available on the Platform. By accessing, browsing, using, registering with and/or creating an account on the Platform, service request, or placing an order for any of the Pet Watch Services available on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, fully understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms with immediate effect.
- These Terms are subject to change and/or revision without notice, as per the updated and effective laws and regulations at any given time. MAM encourages you to review the Terms regularly for any changes. Your continued use of the Platform shall constitute your express consent and agreement to be bound by the then current Terms. If you disagree with any of the Terms or any changes to the Terms, you must immediately refrain from using the Platform and delete/deactivate your Account created on the Platform.
- These Terms are in line with the relevant applicable UAE laws and regulations and are not intended to affect any rights available to you as a consumer under the UAE Laws.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to utilize and access the Platform pursuant to the requirements and restrictions of these Terms as mentioned hereunder.
Pet Watch services
- Pet Watch is an online application accessed via the Platform, focused on connecting Pet Owners and Pet Sitters (individually and collectively referred to as the “Users”) seamlessly under one Platform, in order for Owners to be able to avail and Sitters to provide pet-care related services on the Platform (“Services”).
- We’re here to help! The Services shall be provided directly by Pet Sitters to Pet Owners. Pet Watch is merely a facilitator of the provision of Services and is not to be deemed as a service provider for any of the Services available on the Platform.
- When you book one of the Services through the Platform (the “Service Request”) or accept a Service Request via our Platform, you are entering into an agreement between yourself and an Owner or Sitter (as applicable). It is entirely your responsibility to ensure that the requirements of the Owner or Sitter are in line with your expectations and experience. For avoidance of doubt, we are not party to any agreement, contractual or otherwise, between an Owner and a Sitter.
- We understand that as a pet Owner, you have a strong emotional connection with your pet(s), and you are best equipped to make decisions that are in their best interests. Therefore, we encourage you to use your best judgment when booking a Service Request or interacting with other Users via the Platform, always keeping your and your pet’s needs in mind. You are solely responsible for ensuring the well-being of your beloved pet(s).
- Please note that we will not trade with or provide any services to OFAC and sanctioned countries.
Account registration
- To utilize or provide any of the Services available on the Platform, you are required to register yourself on the Platform by creating your personal account secured by a strong password (“Account”). Once you register your Account, you consent to providing us with your Personal Data (defined under Clause 5.1).
- To create an Account, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and are required to provide true, accurate, complete and current information including but not limiting to, name, date of birth, email address, and other details as requested during the Account creation. By continuing to use the Platform, you declare that you are: (i) 18 years of age or have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside; and (ii) are permitted to use the Platform under any applicable Law. If you are below 18 years of age, you shall not register as a User of the Platform and shall not transact on or use the Platform, unless, you have and submit a valid Emirates ID and you use the Platform strictly under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms and you are responsible for ensuring such use to be permitted under UAE Law and any other applicable law.
- Remember to always update your information to avoid any surprises that may affect your Pet Watch experience! By registering yourself on the Platform, you warrant that the details you provide on Pet Watch are correct and complete and you agree that you will inform us immediately of any changes to those details (e.g., change of email or contact number, etc.). You can access and update your details using the “My Account” area of the Platform. You authorise us to verify and use any information provided to us during registration and account creation (including any updated information) as well as request of any supporting documentation to verify the submitted details. Pet Watch or MAM will not be responsible or held liable for any details submitted by you on this Platform (hereinafter referred to as the “User-Generated Content”).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account username and password and for preventing unauthorised access by third parties to your profile. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your Account. Please take all necessary steps to ensure that the username and password are kept confidential and secure (as an Owner, it probably wouldn’t be a great idea to use your pet’s name as your password). Please inform Pet Watch immediately if you have any reason to believe that your username and/or password has become known to anyone else, or are being, or are likely to be used in an unauthorised manner and we will try our best to protect your Account. We will never request your Account username or password through electronic messages. We will not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you in protecting your password or Account.
Privacy
- The Platform will collect data that permits someone to identify or contact you, such as, but not limited to, your full name, address, telephone number, email address, referral source, service interest/preference, location as well as any information associated with or linked to your pet (the “Personal Data”). All Personal Data collected shall not be used for any purposes not related to Pet Watch or the Platform and shall not be shared to any third parties that are not Pet Watch partners (i.e., marketing agencies, payment service providers etc.), unless required for improving your Pet Watch experience. All such Personal Data collected, gathered and/or retained is under compliance of our Privacy Policy of the Platform and the operating region’s data protection laws.
- The personal information you provide in the course of using the Platform will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. When using or providing certain information on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, fully understood, consent and agree to the Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). If you do not agree to the Privacy Policy, then you must immediately refrain from using the Platform.
Data protection
- The Pet Watch will determine the purpose and means of processing your Personal Data in accordance with the applicable laws and as set out in Pet Watch’s Privacy Policy (as mentioned in Clause 5.2 above).
- Pet Watch shall only collect and process your Personal Data upon provision of your explicit consent, by understanding, accepting, and agreeing to the Privacy Policy and any other ancillary policy pertaining to the protection of your Personal Data. In case you do not agree to the Privacy Policy, you must immediately refrain from using the Platform as Pet Watch may not be able to collect/ process your Personal Data required for the purpose of provisioning pet-care-related services offered by us and may limit the functionality and availability of certain features of our services on the Platform.
- All your Personal Data shall be collected and processed in accordance with the applicable laws and such Personal Data shall be held in strict confidence and used only for specific lawful purposes for which it is required.
- Upon your explicit consent to our Privacy Policy, Pet Watch may also, from time to time, transfer and/or forward such Personal Data to third parties outside the DIFC and/or the UAE for storage and processing of the Personal Data for administrative purposes, as may be necessary from time to time.
- You have the right to request access to the Personal Data we hold about you and to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data. You also have the right to request the deletion of your Personal Data under any circumstances or request the restriction of processing of your Personal Data (as set out in detail in the Privacy Policy).
- In case of any questions or concerns pertaining to your Personal Data, you may contact us at the details mentioned under Clause 26 below
Use of platform
- The Platform provides information and material about Pet Watch, including the Services to be provided by the Sitters, details on the Sitters, our operations, contact information and information related to the Pet Watch business model. While the Platform and the content available are only created for informational purposes including general knowledge and guidance, we do not provide legal, business, health or safety advice or any kind of advice and you should not depend on it for advice. You act at your own risk in relation to the contents of the Platform. We take no responsibility for any information provided by our employees, directors, or affiliates. Any action taken by you is fully your decision, and you absolve Pet Watch and MAM of any liability for any outcome that may occur due to your actions on inactions or decisions you take in reliance to the Platform or material therein.
- You have consented and agreed that all transactions and data on this Platform will be saved, which includes all transactions transacted and traded through the Platform, third party websites, payment gateways and any cloud platforms in any jurisdictions whatsoever. However, we shall not utilize or share any payment details related to your credit cards or bank accounts, unless we receive your explicit consent to do the same on the Platform.
- You may only use the Platform for lawful purposes, and you may not use it in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else or that restricts or inhibits anyone else’s enjoyment of the Platform.
- You may use the Platform for personal use only, unless otherwise specifically authorised by us to do so in writing. The User creating the Account is the sole authorized user of the Account, any use of the Account by a third party shall constitute an unauthorized use of the Account which we shall not be responsible or held liable for.
- This Platform may not be used by you for any commercial purposes such as to conduct sales of merchandise or services of any kind, unless you are a registered Sitter as per these Terms. We will investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates this provision, including without limitation, removing the offending communication from the Platform and barring such violators from use of the Platform.
- You shall not duplicate, download, publish, modify or otherwise distribute the material on this Platform for any purpose whatsoever. Unless it is required by the applicable laws or you have our written permission, you may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform. You may only access the Platform through the interfaces that we provide for your personal use only and may not “scrape” the Platform through automated means, i.e., extract large amounts of information from the Platform or “frame” any part of the Platform, i.e., transmit digital data from the Platform, and you may not interfere or attempt to disrupt the Platform in any way whatsoever.
- You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion or feature of the Platform, or any other systems or networks connected to the Platform, or to any of the services offered on or through the Platform, by hacking, password “mining”, i.e., recovering passwords stored on the Platform or any other illegitimate means.
- We reserve the right to restrict, terminate or refuse your access to, or use of, the Platform, your Account, or any feature or part of it, remove or edit User-Generated Content, or cancel any Services at our sole discretion at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other reason whatsoever without notice. Termination or limitation of your access or use will not waive or affect any other right or relief to which we may be entitled at law. You agree that monetary damages may not provide a sufficient remedy to Pet Watch/MAM for violations of these Terms and you consent to injunctive or other equitable relief for such violations.
- We may release user information about you if required by law or subpoena.
Content available on platform
- We may make available various information, descriptions, reviews, and other information, data, content, and materials including but not limited to pet care and safety guidelines, pet care Services, pet care tips etc. on the Platform (“Content”). The Content is for educational and informational purposes only, and may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to the Services provided on the Platform (we are also humans!). Before you act in reliance of any such Content, you should confirm any facts that are important to your decision with Us, the Sitter or Owner as applicable. We make no warranty as to the reliability, accuracy, timeliness, usefulness, or completeness of any Content. If you find an error or notice incorrect information on the Platform, please let us know by contacting us at info@petwatchapp.com.
- Pet Watch is a safe space for all Users. You are only allowed to access and use the Platform and its Content for your personal purposes, and you must not, in addition to the prohibitions as set forth above:
- Utilize the Platform or Content for any unlawful purpose;
- Utilize the Platform or Content to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts;
- Utilize the Platform or Content to violate any international, federal, or local laws and regulations;
- Copy, utilize, circulate, change, assign, distribute or in any manner use the Content, except as otherwise expressly allowed in these Terms;
- Use any device or software that interfere with the Platform;
- Sell, circulate, recreate or in any way use the Content for any commercial purposes;
- Access information not intended for you by attempting to gain unauthorized access;
- Utilize the Platform or Content to circulate, distribute, or sell in a manner that will violate the copyright or other intellectual property laws or infringe upon the privacy or rights of Pet Watch, MAM or others;
- Harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
- Submit false or misleading information, use the Content to use an identity that is fictious or misrepresent a connection with Pet Watch, MAM, or another person;
- Upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Platform;
- Collect or track the personal information of others;
- Interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Platform or in any manner attempt to interfere with the working of the Platform.
User warranties
- Let us both do our parts in creating a wonderful Pet Watch experience! You, as the User warrant that:
- You have the authority and capacity to use the Platform and to enter into all of the agreements to continue with the Platform services;
- All information and documentation provided by you is true and correct;
- You are responsible for adhering to all the terms and your obligations contained herein.
Payment of services
- Users shall not be charged for creating an Account or accessing/browsing the Platform. Users shall only be responsible for making a payment for any Service(s) booked through the Platform (including any tax on the purchase price if any), unless Pet Watch at its sole discretion decides to charge a fee for the use of the Platform in which case we shall provide you with at least Fifteen (15) days notice specifying the charges applicable to the Users prior to the fee being effective.
- Any Platform transactions shall be handled by Pet Watch along with an independent payment provider to be chosen by Pet Watch on the pricing as determined by Pet Watch. Pet Watch shall not trade or conduct the sale and purchase of the Services booked by the Owners in any manner whatsoever. Pet Watch shall act solely as a transitory of the Services being booked on the Platform to being passed to the Sitter.
- The displayed price and currency at the checkout page, will be the same price and currency printed on the transaction receipt and the amount charged to the card will be shown in your card currency.
- Cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and https://petwatchapp.com policies and rules.
- No payment shall be made directly from the Owner to the Sitter outside the Platform. All payments shall be made on the Platform only via the available payment methods. Any violations related to the payment of Services shall be subject to Clause 11 (Non-Compliance) or any other penalties to be decided at our sole discretion.
Disputed services
- An owner may dispute a completed Service through the Platform within seven (7) days of the Service date in case the Owner believes that the Sitter has breached any of their obligations or failed to adhere to the written instructions provided by the Owner on the Platform before the Service (the “Disputed Service”);
- Pet Watch shall then investigate the Disputed Service and will revert back to the Owner between thirty (30) and ninety (90) days of raising the dispute with its decision on the Disputed Service.
- The Owner shall be entitled to a refund for the Disputed Service, only in case the Owner’s complaint/dispute has been substantiated and proven during Pet Watch’s investigation, and based on Pet Watch’s sole discretion;
- The Owner understands and agrees that Pet Watch shall only consider written communication between the Owner and the Sitter through the Platform in relation to any Disputed Service.
Non-compliance
- In the event that a User does not comply with their respective obligations or any of the Terms contained herein and policies of the Platform, the following shall apply. We may:
- Issue you with a warning;
- Suspend your Account so you will not be able to access the Services during the suspension term;
- Permanently block your access to the Platform;
- Immediately terminate these Terms and delete your Account;
- Report any offences committed to the appropriate authority.
- The application of these sanctions is entirely at our discretion and we can choose whether to apply any one or all of them at any time.
User conduct & user-generated content
- The Platform may at times provide opportunities for Users to submit comments, reviews, suggestions, questions, or other information (the “User-Generated Content”) on or through the Platform. You warrant that any such User-Generated Content submitted by you to the Platform is original (and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others).
- We are committed to creating a friendly and approachable space for all Users. While there are features available on the Platform that allows Users to communicate with each other, it is important and thus mandatory to be respectful at all times, to refrain from using any offensive language and to avoid providing false or incorrect information. Please report any offensive language used by contacting us and submitting evidence of the same at: info@petwatchapp.com. Pet Watch/MAM shall not be responsible or liable for any communication as well as any verbal or physical interactions between Owner and Sitter that may occur outside of the Platform or during the provision of the Services.
- As transparency is one of our core values, we encourage our Users to submit reviews, comments and other information related to the Services and your Pet Watch experience in general. For this reason, and to be able to publish such User-Generated Content on the Platform, you hereby grant MAM a perpetual and non-exclusive right and licence to use such User-Generated Content submitted for any purpose without restriction including without limitation, to copy, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or incorporate such User-Generated Content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world for the purpose of enhancing the Pet Watch experience, without any further recourse to you.
- You waive any moral rights in such User-Generated Content and agree that you will not submit any content on the Platform that is contrary to public policy, morality, defamatory, inflammatory, that infringes intellectual property rights, or that may otherwise breach common decency or be contrary to any applicable laws. We have the right to monitor and edit or remove any activity or User-Generated Content at our sole discretion, and assume no responsibility or liability for any User-Generated Content posted by you or any third party.
Change of platform & cessation of operations
- For the purpose of continuously improving our Platform, we reserve the right to change or correct any errors or omissions on the Platform, and to alter, limit or discontinue the provision of any of the Services provided through the Platform at any time without prior notice to you. However, we shall do our best to inform you on the changes that may affect your Pet Watch experience.
- Pet Watch, a growing community for pet lovers! The Platform may contain links to other websites as a convenience to you. Any use of third-party websites will be at your own risk and it is your sole responsibility to review the terms, privacy policies and other policies for said websites.
Intellectual property
- Unless otherwise expressly stated, all contents of the Platform are copyrights, trademarks, trade dress and/or other intellectual property owned, controlled or licensed by us and are protected by the applicable laws.
- We, together with our service providers, expressly reserve all intellectual property rights in all programs, products, product names, service names, logotype set apart in form, text or otherwise from surrounding text (i.e., all capital letters) processes, technology, content (that is graphics, videos, user interfaces, visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, artwork and computer code, images, advertisements, layout), including but not limited to the design, structure, selection, coordination, expression, “look and feel” and arrangement of such content) and other materials, which appear on the Platform (“Intellectual Property Rights”).
- Access to the Platform does not confer and shall not be considered as conferring upon anyone any license under any of our or any third party’s Intellectual Property Rights. Any use of the Platform or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or in part, other than for identifying the Services as belonging to MAM or its service providers is prohibited without our express written permission.
Disclaimer of warranty
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. MAM, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective suppliers, and any of their owners, officers, directors, managers, members, agents, employees, and service providers expressly disclaim (to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law) any and all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, freedom from computer, mobile or internet device virus, title, and non-infringement of proprietary rights. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Platform, the Services, Content or the information included on this Platform.
Tax obligations
- You are solely responsible to determine what, if any, taxes are applicable to your transactions on this Platform in your particular jurisdictions. MAM and the Platform are not responsible for determining the taxes that apply to the transactions on this Platform in your jurisdiction.
- Pet Watch was proudly born in the UAE, and operates under Civil Law and UAE jurisdiction and therefore is compliant to the UAE Law. However, you are solely responsible to determine what, if any regulations, apply to your transactions in your particular jurisdictions. MAM and the Platform are not responsible for determining the laws that apply to the transactions on this Platform.
Limitation of liability
- At Pet Watch, we provide a seamless and convenient Platform for pet Owners and Sitters to connect and book Services for pets. We act as an intermediary between Owners and Sitters to facilitate this process. While we strive to create the best experience for all Users, we want to make it clear that we will not be held responsible or liable for incidents that occur outside of the Platform, including but not limited to any physical or verbal interactions between Users, any damage, loss, or theft of personal belongings during or after the Services have been provided. We urge Users to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To the maximum extent permissible by applicable law, MAM, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective suppliers, and any of their owners, officers, directors, managers, members, agents, employees, and service providers:
- Shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages or loss of any kind arising out of, or related in any way to your use or inability to use the Platform and its content, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether or not MAM is advised of the possibility of such damages;
- Exclude any and all liability for damages caused by, any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any communications due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on the Platform or combination thereof, including any injury or damage to any users or to any person’s computer related to or resulting from use of the Platform;
- In no event will MAM be liable for any damages in excess of the amount paid by you towards the price/charges of any Service (which where applicable shall be refunded by MAM) in respect to which the claim arose. You hereby release us from any and all obligations, liabilities and claims in excess of this limitation.
Indemnity
- You agree to hold harmless and indemnify MAM, its parents, subsidiaries, service providers, affiliates, and their respective suppliers, and any of their owners, officers, directors, managers, members, agents, and employees, from and against any claims, liabilities, suits, judgments, litigation costs, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages (actual and consequential), fines, penalties, and attorneys’ fees or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature arising from or in any way related to your use of the Platform, including, but not limited to those brought by you or on your behalf in excess of the liability described above, or by third parties as a result of:
- Your breach of any part of these Terms;
- Your violation of any applicable law, the rights of a third party, or your use of the Platform;
- Any allegation that any content/information you submit to us or transmit to the Platform infringe or otherwise violate the copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
Entire understanding
These Terms, as supplemented by any additional documents referred to in them and any policies or rules posted on the Platform (including any amendments made from time to time as contemplated by these Terms) supersedes all prior terms, agreements, communications, oral or written and constitutes the entire understanding and agreement between you and MAM with respect to the use of the Platform.
Termination
- If we believe that your conduct is in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or otherwise harmful to the interests of MAM and Pet Watch, we may terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Platform, or exercise any other remedy available and remove any unauthorized user information, without court order and without prior notice. Notwithstanding such termination or suspension, you agree that you will continue to be subject to the obligations as per Clause 14 and 15, 17 & 18 which, by their nature, survive such termination or suspension, including the obligations relating to Intellectual Property Rights.
- MAM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to control, limit, terminate, suspend or conclude your access to any part of the Platform at any point in time without reason, previous notice or liability. MAM may change, suspend or shut down any part of the Platform at any time without prior notice or liability to you or anyone else. MAM has the absolute right to disable User’s Account or put it on hold/review if the User is not complying with the rules. Regardless of such termination or suspension, you will continue to be subject to these Terms as mentioned herein.
Governing law & disputes
- The Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws and Regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
- If you have a dispute or concern with Pet Watch or MAM, please contact us at info@petwatchapp.com. We shall endeavour to resolve all disputes or differences in relation to these Terms informally and amicably. Any dispute regarding these Terms which have not been resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai International Financial Centre Small Claims Tribunal (“DIFC SCT”), and the DIFC Courts in case the claim exceeds the DIFC SCT’s maximum claim threshold.
General clauses
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable at any point, the invalid, illegal or unenforceable provisions will be severed, and the remaining provisions and obligations shall remain valid and enforceable.
- No Waiver: Any failure by us to enforce and exercise any right, power or privilege under these Terms or other policies will not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent or further exercise of that right, power or privilege or the exercise of any other right, power or privilege.
- Assignment & Third-Party Rights: You may not assign or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions to any third party unless we agree in writing. We may assign, transfer or sub-contract any of our rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party at our discretion.
- Amendments: Any subsequent changes, additions or otherwise modifications of any of these Terms or Privacy Policy or other policies shall be made at any time without prior notice to you.
- Relationship: None of the provisions in these Terms shall be construed to constitute any User to be the agent, partner, distributor, legal representative, or employee of MAM for any purpose whatsoever and vice versa. Neither User nor MAM shall have the power or authority to bind the other except as specifically set out in these Terms.
Cookies
MAM may use cookies, or other technologies, on its Platform. Cookies are small files or records that MAM may place on your browser for collecting information about your activities on the Platform, preparing reports, assessing trends, and otherwise monitoring the way in which the Platform is being used (“Cookies”). This is intended to enhance convenience for you, customize your visit to the Platform, and to assist MAM to run an efficient operation. Cookies can be created automatically on the device you use to access the Platform but do not contain personal information and do not compromise your privacy or security. By accepting these Terms, you confirm your consent to MAM’s use of Cookies, and other such technologies, for these purposes. If you have expressly contacted us, are browsing the Platform and/or expressed an interest in the Services, you have consented and agreed to this information being collected and stored. If you do not consent, it is your responsibility to disable or restrict the placement of cookies by configuring your browser settings which may affect your ability to use the Platform or to immediately refrain from using the Platform. Electronic communications
To fulfil our obligations to you under these Terms, we may wish to communicate with you by email, other electronic messaging and/or by posting notices on the Platform. We will use the email or phone number provided by you in your account for such communications. You agree to receive communications from us electronically and these electronic communications will satisfy any legal requirement for communications, which need to be in writing. If you submit someone else’s contact details to us to receive communications from MAM/Pet Watch, you represent and warrant that each person for whom you provide a phone number or email address has consented to receive communications from MAM/Pet Watch. If you wish to stop receiving promotional emails or promotional text messages, you may opt-out or unsubscribe by using your account settings.
Terms applicable for IOS & Android software
- Pet Watch iOS App: In addition to your agreement with these Terms, the following provisions apply with respect to your use of any version of the Pet Watch App compatible with the iOS operating system of Apple Inc. (“Apple”):
- Apple is not a party to these Terms and does not own and is not responsible for any technology, software or content on the Pet Watch App. Apple is not providing any warranty for the iOS Pet Watch App except, if applicable, to refund the subscription price for it at its discretion. Apple is not responsible for maintenance or other support services for the iOS Pet Watch App and will not be responsible for any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses with respect to the Pet Watch App, including any third-party liability claims, claims that the iOS Pet Watch App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, and claims with respect to intellectual property infringement. Any inquiries or complaints relating to the use of the iOS Pet Watch App, including those pertaining to intellectual property rights, must be directed to Pet Watch/MAM.
- The right you have been granted in these Terms is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the Pet Watch App on an Apple-branded product that runs Apple’s iOS operating system and is owned or controlled by you, or as otherwise permitted by the “Usage Rules” set forth in Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. In addition, you must comply with the terms of any third-party agreement applicable to you when using the Pet Watch App, such as your wireless data service agreement.
- Pet Watch Android App: MAM, and not Google Inc. (“Google”), is solely responsible for the Android Pet Watch App. Google has no obligation to provide maintenance and support for the Android Pet Watch App, as per the following provisions:
- Google is not responsible for addressing, investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any claim brought by you or any third party for allegations relating to the Android Pet Watch App, or your possession and/or use of the Android Pet Watch App, including but not limited to: (a) product liability; (b) any failure of the Android Pet Watch App to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements; (c) consumer protection or similar legislation; or (d) infringement of third party intellectual property rights.
- You as a user of the Android Pet Watch App represent and warrant that: (a) the Android Pet Watch App will not be downloaded in, used in, or transported to a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or EU government sanctions, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government or any EU government as a “terrorist-supporting” country or similar; and (b) neither Customer nor User is listed on any U.S. Government or EU government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Google will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Android Pet Watch App, and will not be liable for any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure of the Android Pet Watch App to conform to any warranty. Google shall not be required to provide a refund to you under any circumstances

- Any notice, approval, consent, waiver or other communication sent by you to Pet Watch/MAM in regards these Terms shall be in writing and shall be sufficiently given if delivered personally, transmitted by fax, sent by registered mail, return receipt requested, or by e-mail (provided that you received electronic confirmation of receipt by recipient) or other form of recorded written communication tested prior to transaction, to MAM as follows:

Overview
One of our main priorities, at Pet Watch, is the privacy of our pet owners, their friendly family members, and our pet sitters (together “Users”).
Therefore, Pet Watch is strongly committed to providing the highest level of protection regarding the processing of User’s Personal Data under the legal jurisdiction of the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), including the Data Protection Law No. 5 of 2020 promulgated by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “UAE Laws”).
Pet Watch, being the data controller as per the UAE Laws, i.e., the entity determining the purpose and means of processing of Personal Data (“Data Controller”), respects the privacy of all persons using our mobile application (the “Platform”) and the protection of any personally identifiable information which we may collect on our Platform and/or use as part of our data collection process and/ or which you may choose to share with us on our Platform or via telephone, email or through any other mode of communication with Pet Watch (“Personal Data” or “Information”). Such Information will be collected and/or used in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy duly complying with the UAE Laws.
If you do not accept and agree with our Privacy Policy, then we request that you do not access the Platform any further. If you proceed to access the Platform and provide any information without acknowledging this Policy, you would do so at your own risk and liability. Kindly note that the non-acceptance of this Privacy Policy shall limit your access to the Platform and any of the pet-care-related services offered by Pet Watch. Pet Watch retains the right to change the terms of this Privacy Policy, to ensure the utmost privacy of its Users, at any point in time even after your acceptance of the same, to which you provide your consent and affirm that your approval is not required for such modification.
This Privacy Policy, in accordance with the UAE Laws, describes what Personal Data we collect, how we use Personal Data, how this Information may be shared, and what choices and rights you have with respect to your Personal Data. It is Pet Watch’s policy to respect your privacy and comply with any applicable UAE Laws and regulations regarding the use, limitation, and disclosure of Personal Data that we may collect. Access and use of our Platform are subject to this Privacy Policy, the Terms & Conditions, and any other Pet Watch policies. 1. Collection information
Subject to your confirmation, acceptance, and agreement to this Privacy Policy, we collect Personal Data and information associated with your device which you provide us directly, or from third parties with your consent, and automatically when you use our Platform. We collect the Information through online forms and/or using cookies and similar technologies according to our Cookie Policy set out below, through your access to the Platform or your entry of data on the website or application of Pet Watch at any point in time during the navigation of the Platform. We may also collect general, aggregated, demographic, and non-personal information as well as any other information we consider necessary to enhance your experience on the Platform.
Any information that has been voluntarily disclosed by you to us within the context of a professional scenario shall be taken as explicit consent to process such information as per the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Pet Watch provides experiences on social media platforms that enable online sharing and collaboration among users who have registered to use them. We may collect the information you provide by interacting with us via social media, such as photographs, comments, testimonials, opinions, or social media account ID. Any content you post, such as pictures, information, opinions, or any personal information that you make available to other participants on these social platforms is also subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of those platforms. Please refer to them to better understand your rights and obligations with regard to such content.
What Data do we collect?
We collect and hold information that is relevant to the context of our business transactions with Users. We collect Personal Data which is provided by you, however, we may process such information from different sources such as your bank, third parties, and publicly available information.
Mentioned below are the details of the kinds of information that we may collect, collate, and process from time to time during your usage of the Pet Watch platform:
- Account and Profile Information. When you create an account on our Platform, we collect the information you provide us by filling in forms at the time of registration and thereafter, including but not limited to, your name, email address, interests, gender, age, mailing address, the Pet Sitter’s geographical location (as specified in the ‘Location Information’ below), nationality, identification documentation, country, phone number, user name and password, profile information, your pet’s information, including but not limited to, name, age, vaccination details, medical details, and diet details, and information provided in responses to questions, surveys, and questionnaires generated or sent through the Platform. Additional information may be collected at a later stage or point during your use of the Platform, including but not limited to, identification documents, content you submit or post on our Platform, your purchase/transaction information, and your communications, etc. If you are a Pet Sitter, you must also provide us with information related to your past experience of dealing with and nurturing pets. The details requested as part of the account creation process may differ from time to time.
- Content You Submit. We collect information and content that you submit, post to, or create on our Platform, including your photos, videos, comments, reviews, searches, and other types of content provided for in our Pet Watch management tools. Please note that Pet Watch shall not share any of your Personal Data with any third party unless required for improving our Pet Watch’s seamless experience as specified hereunder.
- Purchases/ Bookings. When you purchase/book any pet-care-related service on or through our Platform, we collect certain information in order to complete your purchases, such as your phone number, and address. Additionally, we collect data deriving from your usage of our Platform (including electronic communications), payment transaction data, bank account details, the language setting of your device, consent to and recognition of the terms of use and acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy, the status of the user account, and the default app tracking setting through which we will be able to track the live location of the Pet Sitters during the duration of their service time only, and similarly, the Pet Owners will also be able to track the live location of their pets while being under care/ attention of the Pet Sitter during their service time. Please note that we do not collect, save, process, amend, or change your bank account or card details at any time for any reason whatsoever.
- Communications. When you communicate with us (via email, through our Platform, social media or otherwise) and when you use our Platform to communicate with others, we may record, monitor, or otherwise collect details about your communications (including call time, and call duration).
- Surveys and Contests. If you participate in our surveys, reviews, or promotions, we will collect the information you provide to us.
- Social Media. If you engage and interact with Pet Watch through a social media channel, we will collect your social media username and the contents of the interaction.
- Information from Others. We collect information that others make available to us, including information from other platforms, publicly available information, information from other users of our Platform, information from our partners, service providers, and corporate affiliates, and information from third-party sites.
- Other Platforms. We may receive information about you from third-party platforms when you allow the third-party platform to share this information with us or allow Pet Watch to obtain this information from the third party. For example, you may sign-up to our Platform through Facebook, Google, or Apple; upload your contacts from your third-party email service provider; use our Platform (or third-party integration on our Platform) to manage your calendar on another platform or to manage and send communications (e.g., email or text messages).
- Publicly Available Information. If you are a Pet Sitter, we may collect information about you from publicly available sources and where permitted by applicable laws or with your permission, make it available as part of our Platform. We also may collect and display the details of your relevant experience, certifications, etc., using publicly available records.
- Other Users and Customers. Other Users may provide us your information in connection with using our Platform (e.g., to participate in referral programs, and to advertise through our Platform). In order to enhance the quality of our Platform, Pet Sitters on our Platform may provide us with information about your engagement with them, including whether you have contacted them or responded to them. If you are a Pet Sitter, do note that the Pet Owners may provide us with feedback and public reviews about you and your service.
- Our Partners. We may receive information about you from our partners. For example, our payment processors may update your payment information, advertising partners may help us send communications to your address, and third parties may help us prevent fraud by verifying your contact information.
- Third-Party Sites. Certain third-party sites may embed a Pet Watch plug-in, widget, or content, including through Pet Watch-branded buttons, badges, and slideshows and Pet Watch co-branded content partnerships. Our plug-ins, widgets, embedded content, and pixels may collect information pursuant to our Cookie Policy. You may also choose to use our browser extensions, which collect the information described in this Privacy Policy like the rest of our Platform. With our utmost priority to provide you with a seamless and safe transactional process, please that Pet Watch will not pass any debit/credit card details to Third Parties in any circumstance. However, Pet Watch is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. You should contact these entities directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.
- Automatically Collected Information. Each time you access the Platform; information is sent to our server by your Internet browser or app and stored in our log files. We collect information about your use of our Platform, including your search activity, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and if you use our browser extensions, the content you interact with on third-party sites (for example, if you save an image from a third-party site to your Pet Watch account), and how you navigate and interact with a page or screen. We also collect information that your device provides to us in connection with your use of our Platform, such as your browser type, type of device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, and requested and referring URLs.
Cookie Policy
To ensure that our Platform works correctly, we may at times place a small piece of data known as a cookie on your computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. Cookies are small files or records that Pet Watch may place on your browser for collecting information about your activities on the Platform, preparing reports, assessing trends, and otherwise monitoring the way in which the Platform is being used (“Cookies”). The content of a Cookie can be retrieved or read only by the server that creates the Cookie. The text in a cookie often consists of identifiers, site names, and some numbers and characters. Cookies are unique to the browsers or mobile applications you use, and enable websites to store data such as your preferences or items in your shopping cart.
Like many other websites or Internet service providers, Pet Watch may use Cookies, or other technologies, on this Platform to improve your user experience. Session Cookies are deleted after each visit, while persistent Cookies remain in place across multiple visits. Cookies allow websites to remember your settings such as language, font size on your computer or mobile device, or other browser preferences. This means that a user does not need to reset preferences for every visit. On the contrary, if Cookies are not used, websites will treat you as a new visitor every time you load a web page. For example, if you are redirected to another web page from a website you are already logged in to and then return to the original website, it will not recognize you and you must log in again.
The type of Cookies and other tracking technologies used on our Platform can be categorised as essential Cookies and non-essential Cookies. Essential Cookies are required for the functional operation of the Platform and are used to, but not limited to, identify you while using the Platform, remember settings you have applied on the Platform such as choice of language or region. Non-essential Cookies relate to visitor and website performance, targeting and advertising Cookies for personalisation of adverts as well as Third Party Cookies, as Pet Watch may display content from a third-party website or service, which may result in Cookies from third parties being stored on your hard drive or browser (“Third Party Cookies”). Please note Pet Watch does not control the storage and use of these cookies by third parties and you should refer to the privacy policies of the relevant third parties for more information.
Our use of Cookies on the Platform is intended to enhance your experience and convenience, customize your visit to the Platform, and to assist Pet Watch to run an efficient operation for your safety. Cookies can be created automatically on the device you use to access the Platform but do not contain Personal Data and do not compromise your privacy or security. By accepting this Privacy Policy, you confirm your consent to Pet Watch’s use of Cookies, and other such technologies, for these purposes. If you have expressly contacted us, are browsing the Platform and/or expressed an interest in our services/application, you have consented and agreed to this information being collected and stored. Location Information
We will receive your device’s location if you enable this through your browser or mobile device. We may infer your general location from your IP address. You may also choose to provide us with your location information by inputting this information into our Platform, including in your Pet Watch settings, or as a billing address.
We will share the live location data of the Pet Sitters with the Pet Owners in order to enable Pet Owners to keep track of their pet’s whereabouts while being under the care/ attention of their relevant Pet Sitter and only during the duration of their service time. These Pet Owners will have access to the live location information of their relevant Pet Sitter only to the extent necessary and only during the specified service time. Once such service time is duly completed, neither we nor the Pet Owners will have access to the Pet Sitter’s live location in any manner whatsoever.
2. Use of information
Our values are at the heart of everything we do! As mentioned above, Pet Watch sincerely respects and cares about your privacy and is committed to protecting your Personal Data.
Except as otherwise stated below, we do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information collected on our Platform to others. We use the Personal Data we collect to provide, support, and personalize our Platform and to communicate with you about our Platform (on and off our Platform) relating to marketing, compliance, reporting, fixing bugs and bookies, market research, analysis, and transactional services. Personal Data is only collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes only and is not further processed in a manner that is not compatible with these purposes and our values.
The ways we do this include but are not limited to the following:
- To provide and improve our Platform and its features and functionality, including but not limited to displaying the content you post publicly, process, storing, and delivering your communications; to provide customer service and support; to respond to your inquiries or requests; to back-up our systems; and to improve the security of our Platform;
- To evaluate the use of our Platform for our business purposes and to provide and improve our services, including new and co-branded services and our Platform’s functionality;
- To personalize your experience, such as tailoring the content and information made available to you and our support services;
- To display relevant advertising (on our Platform and third-party sites) for us and other businesses and to evaluate the success of such advertising;
- To provide feedback to Pet Sitters on our Platform;
- To communicate with you as described in our agreements with you (for example, the Pet Watch Terms and Conditions) or this Privacy Policy;
- To prevent fraud and to maintain a quality experience for our business purposes or legal reasons, including filtering for spam and communications that violate our agreements with you (for example, the Pet Watch Terms and Conditions);
- To enforce compliance with our agreements with you (for example, the Pet Watch Terms and Conditions) and applicable laws; to comply with our legal obligations; to prosecute or defend a lawsuit, arbitration, or similar legal proceeding; to respond to lawful requests by public authorities (including national security or law enforcement requirements);
- To perform research and analysis for our business purposes;
- To award badges and similar designations and if you decide to participate, to administer surveys, contests, and promotions.
If you provide us with information about your contacts (for example, when you sign up for our Platform through Facebook or any other social media platform), in order to facilitate a more connected experience, we may inform your contacts who have accounts on our Platform that you also have joined our Platform and follow them on your behalf so that you may view their public activities on our Platform.
We may use your communications generally for quality assurance purposes and training and to improve our products and services. We may use your communications to understand and help manage the quality of requests received, and responses sent, by Pet Sitters on our Platform and to provide them with feedback. We may use automated technology to review your communications and improve user experience.
We may use your log-in information, cookie information, device information, IP addresses, and other information to identify you and log your use across devices, our Platform, and third-party sites. We may use this information to personalize your experience on our Platform.
For your convenience, we and our payment processors will store information about the payment method you use in connection with the Platform with your consent. All credit/debit cards’ details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.
Any use of your information that is incompatible with these uses will be disclosed to you in advance so that you may opt out of, or agree to, such uses at your discretion. If you would like to opt out of any of the uses of your information mentioned in this Privacy Policy at any time, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section below or refrain from using the Platform immediately.
3. Sharing your information
Information about our Pet Owners, their friendly family members, and the Pet Sitters is an important part of our business model. The Platform may contain links to other websites as a convenience to you and other Users of the Platform. We make no representations or warranties as to the content, privacy practices and other practices of any websites operated by a third party and Pet Watch does not assume responsibility for the content or practices of such websites. Please note that the use of any such third-party websites will be at your own risk and it is your sole responsibility to review the terms, privacy policies, and other policies for said websites for safeguarding your information.
We share your Information only as described below and with businesses that follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Policy:
- Other Businesses. To offer you our services, we may engage with businesses that are affiliates of ours and/or non-affiliated service providers (e.g., marketing companies, payments processors to process online transactions, etc.). Please note that we may involve other businesses, that are crucial and necessary for the efficient working of the Platform, which may store your Information to make your use of our Platform more efficient. You understand that it is important that such businesses have access to the relevant Information to perform their functions. We will take appropriate steps to ensure that these businesses do not use your Information for purposes other than to perform their functions for your use of the Platform. However, we cannot guarantee the use of your Information by third parties. We may also receive Information from these businesses (e.g., updated contact information), which we may use (e.g., to correct our records). By using our Platform, you hereby freely and specifically consent to the transfer, storage, use, and disclosure of your Information among businesses who are affiliates of us and/or non-affiliated service providers, wherever located. These businesses shall be contractually bound to respect the privacy and confidentiality of your Information in accordance with the applicable laws of the UAE.
- Marketing and Promotional Offers. We may also use your Information to provide you with information about services which may be of interest to you and enhance your Platform experience, service messages, new features, enhancements, special offers and events of interest. We may contact you via various channels, including without limitation emails, push notifications, web notifications, post, in-app messages. You may opt out of receiving such communications by contacting us as described in the Contact Us section of this Privacy Policy, by modifying your settings on your Pet Watch account, and/or by unsubscribing from our email newsletter. We may permit third parties to use your Information. For example, we may provide advertisers with Information to help them reach the kind of audience they want to target and to enable us to comply with our commitments to our advertisers (e.g., by displaying their advertisements to a target audience).
- Business Transfers. In the event that we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by another entity, customer information will be one of the transferred assets and will be handled as per this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
- Protection of Our Platform and Others. We release account and other Information when we believe such a release is appropriate to comply with the law and law enforcement investigations and to protect the rights, property, or safety of our Users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for various reasons, such as fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Note that our Platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data or other information to these websites.
- Data processing. Pet Watch may share your data with third parties it works with for the purpose of inter alia data processors, any data processing activities undertaken by such providers shall not require your consent, service providers for hosting services, service provider for programming services, and service provider for hotline services and any other third-party recipients include service providers and other companies within our corporate group. Furthermore, data may be transmitted to other recipients in the event that we are obliged to do so due to legal provisions or enforceable administrative or court orders.
- Information that we create. Pet Watch may create User Information about you, such as records of your interactions with us and details of our business-related activities including but not limited to phone calls, emails, minutes, and all business activity provided for on the Platform.
- Location Information to Pet Owners. In addition to the above, we will share the live location data of the Pet Sitters with the Pet Owners in order to enable Pet Owners to keep track of their pet’s whereabouts while being under the care/ attention of their relevant Pet Sitter and only during the duration of their service time. These Pet Owners will have access to the live location information of their relevant Pet Sitter only to the extent necessary and only during the specified service time. Once such service time is duly completed, neither we nor the Pet Owners will have access to the Pet Sitter’s live location in any manner whatsoever.
4. Communications
An essential part of our services that you sign up for when you create an account on our Platform is to receive communications from Pet Watch through email and our Platform. If you use our mobile app, these communications also include push notifications. We communicate with you about your account, privacy, and updates on the Platform (including new content being uploaded, any news relating to the Platform, etc). We also ask for your feedback about your experience in connection with our Platform or your experience with the Pet Sitters/ Pet Owners (whichever is applicable) on the Platform. In accordance with applicable law, we may send you marketing communications (e.g., with tips, offers, and similar services) from Pet Watch. These communications may feature us, our Platform, co-branded products, and services on our Platform.
If you provide us with your email address, we may contact you to help you with using the Platform (e.g., to discuss your preferences, concerns, etc. about your furry friend). If you are a Pet Sitter, we may use your contact information (whether publicly available or provided to Pet Watch) to call and otherwise contact you about our Platform, including to market and sell your services or those available on our Platform.
You may change your communication preferences at any time through your Pet Watch settings if you have a Pet Watch account and you may also opt out of similar types of marketing emails from us directly through the email. Your communication preferences on Pet Watch are independent and generally will not affect or change the communications you receive through the other portions of the Platform. Please be aware that you cannot opt out of receiving account- and privacy-related messages from us. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications from us, you can turn off push notifications for the mobile application in the settings of your mobile device.
Please understand that Pet Watch will not be responsible or held liable for any incorrect or inaccurate information provided by you on the Platform. It is your responsibility to review and provide correct and accurate information on the Platform in order to provide you with the best experience.
5. Data protection
Data Controller Identity: The Pet Watch is the Data Controller as well as the Data Processor (as defined in the DIFC Data Protection Law No. 5 of 2020), which is responsible for the collection and processing of your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and UAE Laws.
Categories of Personal Data: The Data Controller shall only collect and process, subject to your explicit consent, that Personal Data which is set out in detail in the ‘What data do we collect?’ section (see above).
Explicit Consent: All Personal Data collected and/or processed by Pet Watch, i.e., the Data Controller, shall be subject to all applicable UAE Laws and, in particular, the DIFC Data Protection Law No. 5 of 2020. The Data Controller shall only collect and process the above-mentioned Personal Data upon provision of your explicit consent, by understanding, accepting, and agreeing to this Privacy Policy and any other ancillary policy pertaining to the protection of your Personal Data. In case you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you understand that the Data Controller may not be able to collect/ process your Personal Data required for the purpose of provisioning pet-care-related services offered by us and may limit the functionality and availability of certain features of our services on the Platform.
Specific Purpose and Duration: The Data Controller shall collect and process such Personal Data in accordance with the UAE Laws and such Personal Data shall be held in strict confidence and used only for specific lawful purposes for which it is required.
Transfer of Personal Data: You further acknowledge, accept, agree, and confirm that it may also be necessary from time to time for the Data Controller to transfer and/or forward such Personal Data to third parties outside the DIFC and/or the UAE (as specifically set out at Section 3 above) for storage and processing of the Personal Data for administrative purposes, as may be necessary from time to time.
Data Subject Rights: You, being the “Data Subject”, shall have the following rights with respect to your Personal Data (as further elaborated under Sections 6 and 7 below):

We will consider your request in accordance with the UAE Laws and will take care of your concerns at all times.
You further have the right to control the collection and use of your location information. You can withdraw your consent for location tracking or modify location settings on your device. You may also contact us in order to disable your location information via contact details provided in the Contact Us section below. However, please note that disabling location services may limit the functionality and availability of certain features of our services on the Platform.
7. Account termination and data retention
We want to make it easy for you to manage your Pet Watch account, and if you are not a professional, service provider, or Pet Sitter, you can deactivate your account anytime by simply going to your Pet Watch settings. However, if you are a Pet Sitter and need to deactivate your account, please reach out to us using the contact information provided in the ‘Contact Us’ section of this Privacy Policy, and we will assist you with the deactivation process. Once deactivated, your Pet Watch profile will no longer be accessible on the Platform but in accordance with applicable laws and the Pet Watch Terms and Conditions, your reviews, and other content may still be available through our Platform. In order to request the permanent deletion of the Personal Data associated with your account, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section below.
We will keep your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we are processing your personal information unless the law permits or requires us to retain your personal information for a longer period.
8. Age of consent
Our Platform is intended for all concerned Pet Owners out there and may be directed to individuals under 18 years of age. If you are below 18 years of age, you may use the Platform only by the provision of a valid Emirates ID to Pet Watch and with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy and responsible for ensuring such use to be permitted under UAE Law and any other applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age that have not received consent from a parent or legal guardian or provided us with a valid identification document. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from an individual under the age of 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information. If you become aware or believe that an individual under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us as provided in the Contact Us section below. By using this Platform, you consent, agree, and represent that you are 18 years of age or have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside or have obtained a parent or legal guardian’s consent to use the Platform.
9. Data security
We use reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your Personal Data (as defined above) from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the personal information. Pet Watch takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies. We further take reasonable measures to protect your location information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, Pet Watch cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account username and password and for preventing unauthorised access by third parties to your profile. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your Account, including but not limited to submitting content on the Platform such as images, descriptions, reviews, personal information, etc. Please take all necessary steps to ensure that the username and password are kept confidential and secure. Please inform Pet Watch immediately if you have any reason to believe that your username and/or password has become known to anyone else, or are being, or are likely to be used in an unauthorised manner. Pet Watch will never request your Account username or password through electronic messages. That being said, please note and understand that Pet Watch will not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you in protecting your password or Account created on the Platform.
10. Updates to this privacy policy
This Privacy Policy, the Terms & Conditions, and other website policies may be changed or updated occasionally without notice, as per the updated and effective laws, requirements, and regulations at any given time. The most current version of our Privacy Policy will govern our use of Information about you. You are encouraged to frequently review these sections to be updated about the changes on the Platform. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted. Your continued use of the Platform shall constitute your express consent and agreement to be bound by the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and other policies of Pet Watch. If you disagree with this Privacy Policy, you must immediately refrain from using the Platform.
11. No warranty
You understand that Pet Watch does not provide any warranty, guarantee, or representation of any kind concerning our ability to control, collect, correct, access, process, use, store, protect or transfer any personal information or concerning the existence or effectiveness of any security measures undertaken by us. You agree that Pet Watch will not be liable for any claims, losses, or damages of any kind whatsoever which may result from the access, disclosure, use or modification by any party not authorised or authorised by us, or the introduction of viruses, worms, or other harmful elements into the system and their possible effects on your personal information.
12. Limitations of liability
In no event will Pet Watch, its affiliates, partners, and their respective employees, officers, directors, or insurers be liable to you or to any other person for any costs, damages (including any special, incidental, exemplary, indirect or consequential damages), or liability of any nature, arising or resulting from the collection, use, transfer, processing or storage of personal information obtained by us and resulting from your access to and use of the Platform or collected via the other channels.

We value transparency and fairness, which is why we have developed a comprehensive refund policy for cancellations. Our objective is to guarantee fairness and offer you a seamless Pet Watch experience.
This Refund Policy is directed to Pet Owners only and should be read along with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, and other policies provided to Users on the Platform to get a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of how we work and to ensure your compliance with all policies and requirements.

Refund processing time
All eligible refunds shall have a minimum processing time of two (2) weeks.
Refund eligibility
You are eligible for a partial/full refund in the below cases and in accordance with the Cancellation Policy (excluding any applicable cancellation fees):
- You have canceled your Short Service Request more than one (1) hour prior to the service time; or
- You have canceled your Long Service Request during the service time as per the Cancellation Policy (partial refund for remaining days only); or
- You have disputed a Service and the same has been approved by Pet Watch. For more details on Disputed Services, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
Refund mode
Refunds shall be issued to the original mode of payment i.e., card payment and other payment service providers to be refunded to the same card/payment service provider used for payment. The refund will be processed within fourteen (14) to forty-five (45) days depending on the issuing bank of the credit card as well as third-party payment gateways and the exact date on which the amount shall be reflected in your account depends on your bank/payment service provider. Please allow for up to forty-five (45) days for the refund transfer to be completed. In case we have confirmed a successful refund through email, please contact your bank/payment service provider for follow-ups.

At Pet Watch, we understand that things happen in life which you may not have control over, especially when our furry friends are involved, which is why we have designed the Platform and our business model to be as flexible and convenient as possible. However, one of our core values is transparency as well as respecting our Users’ time. For this reason, we have established some rules when it comes to cancellations, which are highlighted within this policy – please ensure to follow them to guarantee a smooth and enjoyable Pet Watch experience.
This Cancellation Policy should be read along with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and other policies provided to Users on the Platform to get a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of how we work, and to ensure your compliance with all policies and requirements.

Cancellation fees
If you are a Pet Owner and would like to cancel a Service Request, please keep in mind the following:
Cancellation Prior to Service Request
A. Cancellation Terms for a Short Service Request
Service requests that have a duration of less than twenty-four (24) hours, including but not limited to, pet walking, day-care, and/or single feeding services are hereinafter referred to as the “Short Service Request”.
- Cancellation more than one (1) hour prior to service start time: No cancellation fee;
- Cancellation one (1) hour or less prior to the service start time: Full amount to be charged for the Short Service Request.
B. Cancellation Terms for a Long Service Request
Service requests that have a duration of twenty-four (24) hours or longer, including but not limited to, pet sitting for more than a day, week, or a month are hereinafter referred to as the “Long Service Request”.
- Cancellation more than 24 hours prior to service start time: No cancellation fee;
- Cancellation between 24 hours and 2 hours prior to service start time: AED 30/- (Thirty UAE Dirhams) as a cancellation fee.
Cancellation After Service Request Start Time (only applicable to multiple-day Long Service Requests)
A. Partial Cancellation of Long Service Request
In case you have booked a Long Service Request with a duration longer than 24 hours (i.e multiple day service), you may cancel the whole service in prior as per the above terms, however, in case you would like cancel part of the Long Service Request (i.e. less number of days) the below shall be applicable:
- Upon availing the service for the first day, you may partially cancel the service request for the remaining days by cancelling the additional days at least two (2) hours before the next cycle of such service starts, i.e., For a 3-day service request, you may cancel the 2nd and 3rd day of service by submitting a partial cancellation request maximum by 10 AM on the Second Day, in case the service starts at 12 PM for the 2nd day.
- In case of non-compliance, the Pet Owner shall be charged for a cancellation fee of AED 30/- (Thirty UAE Dirhams) along with the entire amount of that particular day for such Long Service Request (i.e. using the previous example, the cancellation fee and amount for Day 2 shall be charged, and Day 3 shall be refunded).
- In addition to Point (i) above, the Pet Owner is required to pick up their pet from the Pet Sitter within two (2) hours of the time of such cancellation, failing which the Pet Owner shall be charged for a cancellation fee of AED 30/- (Thirty UAE Dirhams) along with the entire amount of that particular day for such Long Service Request.
- Service fee for remaining unused days (for Long Service Requests only) to be refunded as per Refund Policy below
Cancellation by Pet Watch
It is our aim to provide our Users with a smooth and exceptional Pet Watch experience. However, there may be unexpected circumstances which would require us to cancel a Service Request. In case we are required to cancel your Service Request for any reason, whether you are a Pet Owner or Sitter, please rest assured that you will not be charged any cancellation fees. Our team will also be in contact to help you find alternative solutions.
Cancellation & rescheduling procedure
At Pet Watch, we understand the desire to have some flexibility when booking your Service Requests. For this reason, we have created a simple process to cancel and/or reschedule your Service Requests as per the following steps.
- Log in to your Account on the Platform;
- Select the Service Request you wish to cancel or reschedule;
- Select cancel or reschedule based on your requirements*
*Please refer to section 1 of this policy for more details on the cancellation charges that may be applicable to you.
While we do provide flexibility to re-arrange Service Requests, please ensure to be mindful and respectful of the Pet Owner or Sitter’s time and efforts when deciding to cancel or reschedule.

Under no circumstances shall Pet Watch have any liability to any User or third party for any of the following:

IN THE EVENT THAT PET WATCH IS HELD LIABLE FOR DAMAGES, BY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION, DESPITE THE FOREGOING PROVISION, YOU HEREBY AGREE THAT PET WATCH’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CASES OF ACTION IN RELATION TO ANY SERVICE PROVIDED BY PET WATCH SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TOWARDS THE PRICE/CHARGES OF ANY SERVICE GIVING RISE TO SUCH CLAIM.

Pet owner – Terms and obligations
Overview
- As a Pet Owner, we would like to make your Pet Watch experience as smooth and convenient as possible for you and your furry family members! In order to do so we have put together a list of obligations and terms that are specific to you and that apply to Pet Owners only.
- The specific obligations contained herein together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and any other policies provided on the Platform shall form the entire understanding between the Owner and Pet Watch/MAM and shall supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
- Terms that have been defined in the Terms & Conditions shall have the same meaning under these obligations.
Account creation & activation
- To create an account on the Platform, you will need to submit certain required information/documentation (“Account Information”) as prompted which includes but is not limited to:
- Basic Profile (Name, photo, bio, DOB, gender, email, location)
- Pet Profile (Name, photo, gender, type, height, weight, age, breed, registration no., vaccination card, passport, bio);
- Identification & verification documents (Identity Proof, Address Proof, Bank Account/Credit Card Details).
- We may amend or revise the required Account Information anytime, the above is not an exhaustive list, it is for illustration purposes, the full list of requirements shall be available to you during your Account creation;
- Once all Account Information is submitted, your Account shall be under verification. Pet Watch reserves the right to accept or reject any account application as per our sole discretion of fulfilment of requirements;
- Once Pet Watch approves your Account, your Account will then be live and you will be able to start booking Service Requests and communicating with Sitters.
Service request booking & management
- Once a Service Request is accepted by a Sitter, please ensure to provide all instructions and/or requirements as soon as practically possible.
- In case you need to cancel a Service Request that has been accepted by a Sitter, you may do so without any charge at least One (1) hour prior to the Service schedule time for Short Service Requests (as defined in the Cancellation Policy) or Twenty-Four (24) hours prior to the Service schedule time for Long Service Requests (as defined in the Cancellation Policy). For more information on cancellations, please refer to our Cancellation Policy.
- Please refrain from making more than one Service Request for the same scheduled time to avoid overbooking and late cancellation.
Pet owner obligations
- All pet Owners who are registered and have access to Pet Watch must ensure to comply with the following obligations. Failure to comply may result in the disruption of your Pet Watch experience as mentioned under the Non-Compliance clause of the Terms & Conditions.
- Be responsible for vaccinating your pet(s) and ensure to upload your pet’s latest vaccination card to be able to use the Platform, updating their profile, and notifying your Sitter in writing through the Platform should your pet(s) have any illnesses, medical conditions, or allergies they need to be aware of before the booking of any Service Request;
- We understand that your pets are important to you, and their health and well-being are your top priority. Please keep in mind that while Services are being provided, you will be directly responsible for any veterinary treatment your pet(s) may need. This includes any medical attention, medication, or other treatments that may be necessary to keep your pet(s) healthy and safe. We ask that you make the necessary arrangements ahead of time to ensure that your pet(s) are in good health and have access to appropriate veterinary care if needed. If you have any concerns or questions about your pet(s) health during the Service, please promptly communicate with the Sitter.
- Ensure that no pet(s) left under the care of a Sitter is inherently dangerous, aggressive or has ever caused or may reasonably be expected to cause a person or animal any physical harm;
- Communicate the essential details of your pet(s) and the respective Service(s), in writing via the Platform at the time of the Service Request and face-to-face at the time the Service(s) was booked for, while clearly setting out your expectations (“Handover”);
- Inform and notify the Sitter and disclose to Pet Watch any special requirements, behaviours, allergies, dietary restrictions, if any, along with possible reactions and treatment options relating to your pet(s) in writing via the Platform at the time of the Service Request and provide special arrangements if required during Handover.
- You must ensure that the information provided regarding your pets’ allergies is accurate and up-to-date. Any changes to your pet’s allergies or medical conditions should be promptly communicated to Pet Watch and the designated Sitter. Failure to disclose any special requirements or conditions, if applicable, may result in penalties as per the Non-Compliance Clause at Pet Watch’s discretion. Further, please note that a Sitter is entitled to reject a Service Request in case they are unable to manage the disclosed information, for the safety of your pet(s). In case of non-disclosure of any health related requirements or concerns pertaining to your pet(s) or the disclosure of inaccurate/missing information, Pet Watch shall in no way be liable or responsible for any adverse effects or consequences that may arise as a result of such non-disclosure;
- While every reasonable effort will be made to prevent allergen exposure, it is acknowledged that allergies can sometimes be unpredictable and may manifest despite the utmost care taken. Therefore, Pet Watch shall not be held liable for any allergic reactions or related issues experienced by the pet during or after Service.
- Inform and notify the Sitter on the Platform if you will be abroad/travelling during the time of the Service and provide the details of an emergency contact that is residing in the UAE on your profile before booking any Service Request;
- In the unlikely event of an emergency or allergic reactions, you shall be responsible for arranging and incurring any required costs including but not limited to vet treatments, medication, consultations for your pet(s), either directly or via the listed emergency contact;
- Provide the Sitter with detailed feeding instructions in relation to food and treats for your pet(s) in writing via the Platform and during Handover, if applicable;
- If your pet(s) drink bottled water, please ensure to provide the same during Handover, otherwise additional charges will apply;
- Evaluate the suitability of the Sitter by thoroughly reviewing the Sitter’s profile on the Platform and directly communicating with the Sitter where appropriate;
- Ensure that all information listed on your profile and your pet(s)’ profile is accurate and up to date before booking any Service Request;
- Ensure not to have any pet(s) present at the property which aren’t explicitly disclosed when booking the Service(s) unless they do not require any care;
- You shall be solely responsible for your personal belongings. Pet Watch shall not be held liable or responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of any of your property or personal belongings that may occur during the provision of the Services.
- Adhere to all these Terms, Privacy Policy, and any other policies in relation to the use of this Platform;
- Pay for the required Service(s) via the payment channels available on the Platform in advance of the Service(s). If you require additional Service(s), please ensure to modify your Service Request as soon as possible and note that there will be additional costs for the same.
- At Pet Watch, we value respectful and courteous communication between all Users, including Sitters and pet Owners. We’d like to ask that you interact with Sitters politely and respectfully, whether through Platform communication or face-to-face interactions outside the Platform. Please understand that Pet Watch has a zero-tolerance policy for rude or disrespectful behavior between Users. We believe that all Users should be treated with kindness and respect, and we expect all Users to uphold these values in their interactions. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive and respectful community for pet lovers.
Guidelines for the interaction of sitters & owners
- For the purpose of protecting your rights as an Owner, we have laid out the below guidelines to govern your interaction with the Sitters on the Platform:
- Given that you will be communicating with the Sitters from the point of making a Service Request till the completion of the Service, please ensure that all communication takes place in writing through the Platform including but not limited to:
- Communication with the Sitters prior to the Service;
- Any additional instructions prior to or during the Service;
- Any and all instructions, requirements pertaining to the Service.
- Do note that any communication taking place outside of the Platform will not be considered by Pet Watch in case of a dispute pertaining to any of the Service Requests;
- To ensure that Pet Watch remains to be a safe environment, please also ensure that:
- All communication on the Platform is limited to the Service, no other communication with the Sitters;
- Do not share any confidential information with anyone on the Platform;
- For your safety and privacy, we ask that you do not request any personal information, documents, or contact details from Sitters on the Pet Watch Platform. All the information and communication channels required for booking and managing pet Services will be available on the Platform. Our goal is to ensure that all Users’ personal information is kept safe and secure while using the Platform. By following this rule, you can help us maintain a secure and trusted community for pet lovers;
- Refrain from using any inappropriate, offensive or rude language on the Platform.
Payment terms
- You will not be charged for registering an Account. However, you will be required to make a payment for the Services through the Platform (including any tax on the purchase price, if any) as per the Terms.
- At Pet Watch, we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that could lead to Service cancellation. We will do our best to help you find alternative arrangements for your pet(s) in such situations. If we need to cancel any services for any reason, we will do so without any charge to you. Our team will work with you to find other Sitters or solutions to ensure that your pet(s) receive the care they need. We value your trust in our services and are committed to delivering the best possible experience for you and your pet(s).
- The following payment terms shall apply to the Owners:
- By booking a Service Request, you authorise us and/or our third-party payment processer to process your credit/debit card details for the amount of your Service Request. Visa or MasterCard debit and credit cards in AED will be accepted for payment. We accept payment in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (“AED”) only by:
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit/debit card;
- Apple Pay;
- Google Pay.
- In order to authorise credit/debit card payments, we may be required to create an account for you with our third-party payment processors, including accepting their standard terms and conditions and submitting your details to them on your behalf. You hereby authorise us to do so and we shall not be liable to you for any damage or loss you may incur as a direct or indirect result of making payments on the Platform through these third-party payment processors.
- Acceptable modes of payment may be amended/updated at any time without prior notice to you.
- Service(s) may be cancelled for any reason after the Service Request is made without any charge before One (1) hour of the Service date for Short Service Requests and Twenty-Four (24) hours for Long Service Requests, subject to the Cancellation Policy. - The specific obligations and guidelines pertaining to your specific User journey as a Per Sitter contained herein together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and any other policies provided on the Platform shall form the entire understanding between the Owner and Pet Watch/MAM and shall supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
- Terms that have been defined in the Terms & Conditions shall have the same meaning under these obligations.
Account creation & activation
- To create an account on the Platform, you will need to submit certain required information/documentation (“Account Information”) as prompted which includes but is not limited to:

- Once all Account Information is submitted, your Account shall be under verification. Pet Watch reserves the right to accept or reject any account application as per their sole discretion of fulfilment of requirements;
- Once Pet Watch approves your Account, your Account will then be live and you will be able to start receiving and accepting Service Requests.
Calendar & appointment management
- Please ensure that
- Your availability calendar is always updated;
- Your active/inactive status is always updated;
- You only accept Service Requests that you will be able to attend to;
- At Pet Watch, we understand that circumstances may require you to cancel a Service Request. If you need to cancel due to an emergency or last-minute situation, please inform the Owner and Pet Watch immediately to avoid penalties. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we are here to support you and ensure that Owner and pet(s) receive the care they need.
Pet sitter obligations
- All pet Sitters who are registered and have access to Pet Watch must ensure to comply with the following obligations. Failure to comply may result in the disruption of your Pet Watch experience as mentioned under the Non-Compliance clause of the Terms & Conditions.
- Ensure that all information, experiences and qualifications on your profile are accurate and up to date before accepting any Service Requests for your Service(s);
- Abide to and exercise utmost diligence in reviewing all of the pet Owner’s requests and instructions concerning the pet’s overall health, habits, behaviours and allergies, if any, included in the Service Request, communications and during Handover;
- Take appropriate precautions and adhere to any special instructions given by the Pet Owner to prevent exposure to allergens, if applicable. This may include avoiding certain foods, limiting outdoor activities in specific environments, or segregating pets with known allergies from others, as instructed.
- Ensure to care for the pet(s) to the best of your ability and avoid any dangerous activities during the Service(s) that may cause harm to the pet(s). Pet Watch/MAM shall not be held responsible or liable for any injuries that occur to the pets during the provision of the Services;
- Immediately contact the pet Owner via the Platform to collect the pet(s) if the they require any veterinary care and explain the details of the incident in writing;
- If you are unable to reach the pet Owner or if the pet Owner is abroad and the pet’s health is at risk, immediately contact the emergency contact person that is provided in the Owner’s profile to collect and take the pet to a vet ASAP;
- Immediately contact the pet Owner in the event of any damage to property or any personal belongings. Pet Watch shall not be held liable or responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of any of your property or personal belongings that may occur during the provision of the Services;
- Do not leave any pet(s) unattended under any circumstances, without first informing the pet Owner and giving them reasonable time to arrange alternative pet care. If you do, your profile will be subject to review and suspension at the sole discretion of Pet Watch;
- Do not allow any other person(s) to participate in the Service(s) unless they have been approved in writing by the pet Owner;
- Do not charge pet Owners additional costs for any of the Service(s) via payment methods outside of the Platform. Accepting any payments outside of the Platform will lead to penalties at our discretion.
Guidelines for the interaction of sitters & owners
- For the purpose of protecting your rights as a Sitter and your due entitlement to the Sitter Payment (as defined under Clause 6.2.2), we have laid out the below guidelines to govern your interaction with the Owners on the Platform:
- Given that you will be communicating with the Owners from the point of accepting a Service Request till the completion of the Service, please ensure that all communication takes place in writing through the Platform including but not limited to:
- Communication with the Owners prior to the Service completion;
- Any comments, feedback pertaining to the specific pets or incidents during the Service;
- Any and all instructions, requirements pertaining to the Service.
- Do note that any communication taking place outside of the Platform will not be considered by Pet Watch in case of a dispute pertaining to any of the Service Requests;
- To ensure that Pet Watch remains to be a safe environment and encourages positive and productive relationships between Users, please also ensure that:
- All communication on the Platform is limited to the Service, no other communication with the Owners;
- Do not share any confidential information with anyone on the Platform;
- Refrain from using any inappropriate, offensive, or rude language on the Platform;
- At Pet Watch, we value professionalism and respect in all interactions between our Sitters and pet Owners. We ask that you maintain a professional and polite communication style with Owners to make sure that expectations are aligned and that pet care Services are provided smoothly. If, for any reason, you are unable to do so or require guidance on communication style, please feel free to reach out to us for support or intervention as needed. Our team is here to help you with any help you may need to make sure that both you and the Owner have a positive and fulfilling experience.
Payment terms
- You will not be charged for registering an Account.
- The following payment terms shall apply to the Sitters:
- Pet Watch shall be entitled to a commission of Twenty-Five percent (25%) for the Service Request on the Platform (“Commission”). Pet Watch reserves the right to adjust/amend the percentage Commission defined herein by providing Fourteen (14) days written notice to the Sitter.
- The Sitter shall be entitled to a payment amounting to the total price of Service(s) as listed on the Platform minus the Commission on each Service and any service fees/penalties or any other amounts due to Pet Watch, if applicable, on each Service Request (the “Sitter Payment”);
- The Sitter Payment for each Service shall only become due between Forty-Eight (48) to Seventy-Two (72) hours after the completion of the Service. Please note that bank processing may take longer than anticipated, thus, please follow up with your respective bank for any due payments;
- Pet Watch shall transfer the Sitter Payment to the Sitter via bank transfer, to the Sitter bank account that is provided on the Sitter profile.
- No payments shall be due to the Sitter for any Services cancelled by the Owner before the Service date as per the Cancellation Policy. If the Owner cancels a Service Request while a Service is being provided, you, as the Sitter will still be entitled to receive payment for the time already spent providing the Service. If the Service is applicable for multiple days, the Sitter will receive compensation until the day the Service is cancelled, and the remaining days will be reimbursed to the Owner or not charged to them. We understand that cancellations can be disruptive, and we are committed to ensuring that our Sitters are compensated fairly for the time and effort they have put into caring for pets.
- No payments shall be due to the Sitter for any Disputed Services which have been investigated by Pet Watch and has proven any breach by the Sitter of the Terms & Conditions, any Pet Watch Policies and/or any applicable laws and regulations.
- Pet Watch shall settle the Sitter Payment upon completion of each Service as per Clause 6.2.3.
